Selected Experience
- Founded and scaled an Ontario imported wine agency that evolved into both one of the province’s largest VQA wine producers and grape purchasers and one of Canada’s strongest beverage alcohol sales agencies.
- Led negotiations with the LCBO, domestic and international suppliers, and strategic partners across Canada.
- Launched and expanded major wine, spirits, and ready to drink brands nationally.
- Served as in-house general counsel from inception, leading acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, financings, and a reverse takeover to public markets.
- Oversaw corporate governance, shareholder relations, and human resources matters.
- Guided a staged transition from full-time executive leadership to a senior part-time legal role to focus on growth-oriented and environmentally focused businesses.
- Led corporate affairs, legal, and business development initiatives for a mining technology manufacturer transitioning from diesel to electric vehicles.
- Played a central role in multi-company purchase and sale transactions, including banker selection, financial modelling, due diligence, and quality of earnings reports.
- Secured over $3 million in non-dilutive government grant funding and supported multiple patent filings.
- Former associate lawyer in corporate/commercial, secured lending, and commodity tax practices; member of the Law Society of Ontario and the New York State Bar.
